Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and gther ("we", "us", "gther"), a service based in Lahore, Pakistan. By creating an account, joining an activity, or otherwise using gther, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use gther.

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in the country you live in.
• Provide accurate information — your real name, a real phone number you can be reached at, and a real profile photo of yourself.
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from gther for violating these Terms.

If we discover you don't meet these requirements — or you misrepresented yourself — we may suspend or terminate your account without notice.

gther is about meeting real people at real activities. To keep it that way, when you use gther you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members — including hate speech, sexual harassment, stalking, or intimidation.
• Spam or scam — no unsolicited advertising, no phishing, no crypto/get-rich schemes, no MLM recruitment.
• Impersonate anyone else — real people, gther staff, businesses, or public figures.
• Post explicit or illegal content — no nudity, no content sexualising minors, no drugs, no weapons, no hate symbols, no content that violates Pakistani law.
• Create fake activities— activities you don't intend to host, or activities designed to lure people for something other than the stated purpose.
• Circumvent our safety systems — no evading blocks, no creating alt accounts after being suspended, no automated joining or messaging.
• Scrape or resell data about other members. Our API and databases are not open for third-party use.
• Reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or infrastructure — no probing for vulnerabilities without prior written permission from us.

If you break these rules, we may remove your content, restrict your account, or terminate you entirely — at our discretion, without notice for serious violations.

gther connects members with people they don't already know. You are responsible for your own safety. Before meeting anyone, review their profile, meet in a public place, tell a friend, and trust your instincts. If someone makes you uncomfortable, leave the activity, block them in the app, and report them to us.

We do not conduct background checks on members. Verified badges (if any) indicate we have confirmed a specific fact about a member (like a phone number or a business KYC) — they do not guarantee a person's identity or character.

You keep the copyright to anything you post on gther — activities, messages, photos, and profile content ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and reproduce Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting gther. This licence ends when you delete the content (subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for Your Content and warrant that:

• You have the right to post it.
• It doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, privacy, or other rights.
• It doesn't violate these Terms or applicable law.

We may remove Your Content at our discretion if it violates these Terms or a valid legal request.

Businesses that publish Sponsored activities via our partner portal (portal.gther.co) agree to additional terms during signup, including:

• Completing KYC verification before their first campaign goes live.
• Only publishing accurate, honest activity information — the venue, price, availability, and offer must match reality.
• Not using the group chat attached to their campaign to spam, harass, or bait members. Broadcast mode is for genuine event updates.
• Complying with applicable advertising and consumer-protection law in Pakistan.

We may pause or take down campaigns that break these rules and refund any unused portion of the subscription at our discretion.

Using gther as a member is free. Sponsored placements for business partners are paid — pricing is shown at checkout in the partner portal. Payments are non-refundable once a campaign is live, except as described in the "Business partners" section above or as required by law.

You can stop using gther at any time by deleting your account.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Break these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Create risk or possible legal exposure for us, other members, or business partners.
• Are the subject of repeated valid reports from other members.

On termination, your access is revoked immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (Your Content licence, liability limitations, dispute resolution) will remain in force.

gther is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific activity, host, member, or business will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not a party to any interaction between members off-platform. Any dispute, injury, loss, or damage arising from a real-world activity is between the members involved and, if applicable, the business partner hosting the activity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, gther and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or personal injury — arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of gther is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) PKR 5,000. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under Pakistani law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute must first be raised with us at hello@gther.co so we can try to resolve it amicably. If we cannot, the courts of Lahore have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law of the country you live in requires another forum.

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
